Music Lessons Angus offers one to one individual lessons on a variety of different instruments and voice. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in their individual disciplines and are all disclosure checked and eligible to work with children and adults. We pride ourself on delivering high quality learning and teaching with our teaching team working as professionals in the music industry throughout Scotland and Europe. Our lessons are available in 30 min, 45 min or 60 minutes and are usually on a weekly basis during term time. Additional lesson are available on an ad hoc basis during the holidays. We currently offer lessons in the following disciplines;
brass - trumpet/trombone/horn/tuba
music theory (ABRSM)
If there is an instrument you would like to learn that is not listed above, please get in touch as we are regularly expanding our teaching staff and often we have a tutor that would be able to help.
Lessons take place in our purpose built music studio which currently has three spacious individual teaching rooms, each with a full size piano as well as a keyboard suite of professional keyboards. We also have a large open plan studio space which featuring our digital baby grand piano. This space is used for group teaching, events and informal performances.
MLA pupils are given the opportunity to play to perform audiences in our Christmas and Summer Concert. Students also are given informal opportunities to perform to friends and family in a smaller setting at our music studio.
MLA present several pupils each term for formal and internationally recognised music examinations. All our staff can prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations as well as help with preparation for SQA examinations from National 5 to Advanced Higher. We can also help prepare students for University and Conservatoire auditions both in performance as well as aural training and interview preparation.
